Interview with author Lorraine Carey

Today I have an interview with seasoned author Lorraine Carey. Read on to learn more about her and the books she has available.

     1. How long have you been writing?
             For the past 5 years

2. How long have you been a published author?
            Since 2010

3. What title's do you have available?
       Losing Ground, a short memoir;
Mysteries of the Red Coyote Inn/The Adventures of Dean Banks,
a Tween to Young Adult book from publisher XOXO Publishing.

4. What made you choose the subject of this book?
Losing Ground is a short memoir which chronicled some spiritual            events in my life.

Mysteries of the Red Coyote Inn/The Adventures of Dean Banks was written out of my fascination with the mysterious legends that have come out of the area of the Superstition Mountains and the fact that I have lived in the area for some twenty two years.

5. Do you have any new titles coming soon?
Yes, and this one is my "baby". It is called Jonathan's Locket, another young adult paranormal. It is based on the true event of the historic Wreck of the Ten Sails off off Grand Caymen also from XOXO Publishing.

6. What is your favorite genre and why?
Paranormal of course. I read it, write it, and breathe it!

7. What, to you, is the most exciting part of writing process?
It is in the hunt or the discovery of an odd historical event - then I cut loose and build it into a Paranormal adventure.

8. If you could co-author a book with anyone, who would it be and why?
Well, I won't spill the beans here, but have a biggie on the hopper with a very prominent woman in the Paranormal world. It's going to rock it big time!

9. Where can readers find you on the web?

Description of Mysteries of the Red Coyote Inn - The Adventures of Dean Banks:
Want to check in at the Red Coyote Inn? You may want to know about it's questionable past including ghosts, sightings of supernatural creatures, and guests encountering bizarre accidents. This charming inn is located in the Sonoran Desert on the Apache Trail close to the foreboding Superstition Mountains, which was said to be the home of  the legendary Lost Dutchman Mine. Some say the reason for all the paranormal activity is an energy vortex that has ties to the mine and the inn, and some of the guests who come to stay there are as strange as the inn itself.
Dean Banks has moved with his family into the inn which they inherited from their grandpa. He soon learns that he has inherited a Supernatural Gift of Power from a long ago Apache ancestor. Destined to be the guardian of the mine, he feels this is more of a curse than a gift. He is troubled with superhuman strength and the ability to transform into another creature. Looking for answers and afraid he might hurt someone, he befriends a mysterious old miner who has a secret of his own.
Join Dean's adventure as he encounters a tragedy which forces him to make a decision - one that may affect his life and the future of Superstition Mountains.
