Romance Between the Pages Podcast featuring Elisabeth Grace

Ever wondered about the personalities behind your favorite books? Victoria Danann's new podcast with Riley J. Ford has an incredible lineup of authors booked through January. No question is out of bounds. Check it out!

USA Today Bestselling author, Elisabeth Grace, has a hot spot for alpha males and a soft spot for happily ever afters. She lives outside of Toronto, Canada with her husband, two small children, and killer cat. Her theory is that Satan himself spawned the white furball. She’s almost always eaten a chocolate bar before 10am (don’t judge) and has a mild, but healthy obsession with model David Gandy. 😉

If you’re a lover of romance novels, hot sex in obscure places, alpha males, and a little LOL on the side than you may enjoy her work!

Title: Resounding Silence
Series: A Grey Wolves Novella
Author: Quinn Loftis

Genre: Paranormal Romance

The events chronicled herein occur after the destruction of Reyaz the Warlock, which was recounted in Sacrifice of Love. A few months of peace were enjoyed by the various supernatural races before an increase in attacks by vampires in the human realm, which was recounted in Den of Sorrows, forces the elves, fae and werewolves to go to battle once again.

Duty, sacrifice, service, and discipline. These were the characteristics that described Cyn, the warrior fae. Though love was out of her reach, she thought this life was all she needed. She had never been more wrong. A chance meeting with the Prince of the Elves turns her carefully structured world upside down.

Thalion is loyal to his people above all else. As the prince of the Elves, it is his duty to protect them. His loyalty has never been in question. But then, he's never met anyone like Cyn before.

The destiny of both their races may hinge on whether an elf and a fae can overcome their differences and face an uncertain future together.

“I would rather die with you than live without you.”

Lieutenant Rudolph MacTavish was once a pirate. Now, conscripted into service in the Royal Navy, he focuses on his duty and an end to his tenure combating the world he grew up in. But now there is her, an apparent stowaway on his ship – beautiful, vulnerable, and irresistible. All he can think of is protecting her, even if it means turning against his own and joining her on an adventure that could impact all of history.

Trishana of the Mer has a simple mission given to her by her father. Sneak aboard the HMS Ursuline and steal an object that no person should be in possession of. No human, at least. When your father is king of the Mer, you do what he says and never, ever question – and she never did, until HE found her. Strong, kind, and unlike any human she had ever met. How could she even think of betraying her father, and her betrothal, for this man she seems inexplicably drawn to?

Their journey takes them from the blue waters of the Caribbean to the ruins of a long-lost city and pits them against humans, Mer, and monsters alike, with the fate of more than one world in the balance. For if the power that Trish's father seeks falls into the wrong hands, it could mean the end of their world ... and the next.

Firebird Cover Reveal; Deborah Leigh Author

Firebird (A Survivor series novel)
Deborah Leigh
Dark contemporary romance with a HEA
Release Date 4th of January 2017

Blurb: When the worst thing imaginable happens to Mary Dougal, her physical body might have survived but her soul feels like it has died. Now the only thing getting her up every morning is the thought of revenge. Making her attackers pay will be the final act in her life. Feeling like half a man after a tragic accident, former soldier Cain “Ace” Turner has given up on even the idea of love. He’s focused on building his construction business and trying to leave his painful past behind him. With his family’s support and sometimes unwelcome meddling, he tries to just live one day at a time. Of course love doesn’t give up that easily, and it just might be the only thing to save them both. When these two meet and get surprised by possibilities, can they prove together that love truly conquers all?

Short Excerpt:     I immediately call the number he gave me and an incredible voice answers the phone. A voice that screams masculinity. “Ace Construction, can I help you?” I have no idea why the voice makes me nervous, but I stutter when I speak. “Um … y-yes … well … I-I-I … need a quote on fixing up m-m-my house,” I eventually get out and I feel my face redden. I haven’t been this flustered in years. He laughs at me, but in such a jovial way, I have no anger. “Certainly, we can do that. Is it a full renovation or more of a refresh?” “I bought an old house that I fell in love with, but I’m afraid it needs a lot of work. I know it would probably be cheaper to demolish and rebuild, but I really want to make her beautiful again,” I say, extremely thankful that he can’t see the blush through the phone line. “I’m so sorry, I feel like such an idiot. You would think I have no manners. I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Cain Turner.” The foreign feelings his voice elicits have me quite skittish. I can’t help but try and picture him as we chat. “Oh, I’m sorry too. I’m Phoenix McCloud. I bought my house through David Turner. Is he a relation?” “Yes, he’s my big brother,” he tells me. I’m not sure if I should be worried or not. David was an extremely efficient realtor, but it feels weird that he didn’t just tell me this is his brother’s company. I’ll have to give him the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, the rich male voice of Cain Turner has me intrigued. “When can I come and see the house?” he adds. “I have the day off, so today would be good if it suits you?” “That’ll be perfect. Can I have the address and a time please?” I give him the address and agree to meet him at one o’clock. For a reason I can’t explain, I’m looking forward to it.

When I meet Cain outside my house that afternoon, I learn that my imagination did nothing to prepare me for the beauty of him. He’s a tall, tanned Adonis with dark golden-blond hair, emerald green eyes, and gorgeous plump lips. When he smiles, he has the most amazing dimple. What skin I can see exposed by his short-sleeved T-shirt is covered with colorful tattoos. My whole body comes alive just being near him. He puts art to shame, and he does something I thought I’d never experience again. He makes my heart flutter. It frightens me. As a protective move, I step away from him, putting the hood of my parked car between us. I know if he touches me I’ll freak out. “Mr. Turner?” I greet him. He seems to observe my body language and doesn’t step around the car to try and shake hands, which earns him a point in his favor. “Cain, please,” he replies in his deep voice. “Or Ace if you want to keep it casual. You must be Ms. McCloud.”

Romance Between the Pages Podcast featuring Faith Andrews

Ever wondered about the personalities behind your favorite books? Victoria Danann's new podcast with Riley J. Ford has an incredible lineup of authors booked through January. No question is out of bounds. Check it out!
Hi there and welcome! I’m Faith Andrews and I’m known for writing relatable romance that’s guaranteed to give you all the feels.
I came out onto the indie author scene in 2013 with my debut novel Man of My Dreams and kind of hit the ground running. Writing has always been a passion, as well as being a mommy to my two beautiful and wild young daughters. As a creatively inspired stay-at-home mom and avid reader, I tried my hand at a lifelong dream and the rest, my friends, is history.
I live right outside of New York City with my husband, two daughters, and a furry Yorkie son named Rocco Giovanni. When I’m not belting out a Mumford & Sons tune or busy running ragged as a dance mom, my nose is stuck in a book or I’m sitting behind the laptop, creating my next colorful daydream. Coffee addict, lover of wine and cheese, and sucker for concerts and Netflix, I truly believe in love at first sight and happily ever after.

“Mason, MASON, MASON!” Skylar panicked.

“I know. Skylar, hold on tight. I’m going to brake.”

“But there are cars behind us.”

“We have no choice. Don’t worry. I got this.” Mason pushed down on the brake forcefully.

The car hydroplaned to the right. “Hold on.”

Skylar gripped the first thing her hand found. The water from the road jetted up into the air like in a water show, but the car kept gliding sideways, until finally it spun in a full circle and stopped. With no time to waste, Mason turned it to the right and accelerated, hoping to dodge what was coming toward them.

Out of nowhere, a long piece of ice, taking the form of a spear, darted through the trucks’ tires and punctured some of them. More ice spears came soaring out of the rain, but this time ten or more sphere-like ice balls followed, denting the sides of the trucks. One went through a windshield. With flat tires, the trucks now glided as if skating on ice, maneuvering from side to side.

“Did you do that?” Skylar asked excitedly.

“No. Must be Poseidon’s kids. Where the hell are they?” Mason spread his right arm out in front of Skylar as if to protect her. “Bend down, Sky.”

One of the trucks hit another and veered off, hitting yet another one. The crash caused the trucks to flip and tumble, heading straight for Mason’s car. With a look of shock, Skylar held her breath. There was no time to move, think, or get out of the car, so she closed her eyes and prepared for the crash.

Seconds before impact, Mason’s car flew up into the air and over the trucks. Somehow, as if by magic, the water created a liquid bridge, guiding the car safely over, and then it thumped hard onto the ground on the other side. Without looking back, Mason sped away as the sound of screeching brakes and metal hitting metal blasted behind them.

“What just happened?” Skylar yelped. “Did you do that?” Everything had happened so fast. Adrenaline had rushed through her body so rapidly, she’d had no time for fear. Once it was over, she was amazed and stunned speechless.

“No, I didn’t. Poseidon’s kids. It’s the only explanation. They can manipulate water. I had it handled. There was no need for them to show off. Lots of civilians are hurt.” Mason sounded irritated, perhaps because he wasn’t the hero this time around or perhaps he truly did care for those people he didn’t know.

Amazed by their abilities, wherever they were, Skylar was grateful for their showing off. Though Mason claimed he’d had the situation handled, Skylar thought otherwise, but kept her opinion to herself.

Fire and heavy smoke spiraled into the sky behind them. The trucks had mostly slammed against each other, except for one. Guilt consumed her, thinking about the innocent people who’d happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. She couldn’t dwell on her remorse. She saw the same white truck, now joined by a black truck, tailing them. “It’s the white truck again, but there’s another one behind it.”

“I see them,” Mason said with a sly tone, looking in the rearview mirror. “Let’s see if they can follow.”

Amy Miles

Author Amy Miles has always been a bit of a dreamer. Growing up as an only child, and a military brat to boot, she spent countless hoursescaping into the pages of a book, only to spend the following days creating a new idea of how to twist up the story to make it unique.

Since becoming a mother, Amy has slowly nourished her love of the written word while snatching writing time in the midst of soiled diapers, tumbling over legos and peering around mounds of laundry and dishes that never seem to go away. Once her only son started school, Amy was free to let her fingers dive into dark mythology, tales of betrayal and love, and explore human nature in its rawest form. Her love of seeing the world from a different angle bloomed.

Amy is the author of several novels, including her popular young adult immortal books, The Arotas Series, which are an Amazon and iBooks bestselling series. Unwilling to be defined by any one genre, she proceeded to flip over to a science fiction/fantasy based idea with her Rising Trilogy. She then dove into contemporary romance with her novel, Captivate and explored the depths of her own faith with In Your Embrace.

She is currently working on completing her Immortal Rose trilogy, a prequel to her Arotas novels. She has also embarked on two new journeys this year, one in the form of a co-written banshee trilogy, The Hallowed Realms, which is currently represented by GH Literary.
